Tom was an avid reader and especially enjoyed political and history books. Tom had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed many sports, playing basketball, golf and curling in his younger years and watching his grandchildren’s activities later in his life. Tom has been inducted into the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame with the other members of the Pictou Dukes basketball team. Tom’s family was his pride and joy.
