Dearly Loved Eastern Cousins,
What a privilege to have known and loved The Matriarch of Scotch Hill! We have had many happy hours with our Aunt Chris (Our Grandfather Wilbur's little sister) and our memories are full and pleasant. What an honour. Your dear mom made Pictou our true home in our hearts. More than this, she accepted us - seemingly distant relatives - as close family. We miss her. A great woman of the Earth has past from this life to the next. May we meet her on that Golden Shore. May her love, endurance, zeal for life (and card playing), and her acceptance of others live on through us from generation to generation.
