MacMILLAN, Donald “WaWa”

Donald “WaWa” MacMillan of Cedar Street, Pictou, passed away on February 20, 2025 in the Aberdeen Hospital, with his family by his side. Born in Halifax, NS on February 6, 1964 he was the son of the Late Ethel MacMillan and Kelly MacCallum. He is survived by his common law wife of six years, Carrie Winters; sister, Ashley MacCallum of PEI; three beautiful nieces, Kellie, Katie and Jamie; cousins, Peggy and Kelvin MacIsaac of Pictou, and Billy MacMillan of Pictou Island; sister-in-law, Amy (Bubba) Winters; brother-in-law, Shane (Alicia) Winters; chosen sister and brother, Cathy (Robie) Carr and Adam Carr; great family friend, Lillian Carr of PEI. WaWa lived his life on or near the sea being a fisherman or fisherman’s helper. He also worked for a number of years at North Nova Seafoods. He was and always was a devoted Toronto Maple Leaf's fan, always saying this is their year for the cup. He leaves behind his beloved fur baby Freddie, who was never far from WaWa’s side. Predeceased by his mom, Ethel MacMillan and dad, Kelly MacCallum; little brother, Lloyd MacCallum; beloved Aunt, Margaret MacMillan; and family friend Leroy Carr. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25th from 1-3 PM at McLaren Funeral Home, with the service to follow at 3 PM with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Donations in his memory can be made to the Diabetes Association.
