CORBETT John ‘Wayne’ Russell
January 31, 1969 - March 5, 2025
Wayne was known for many things from being a back yard machine, to having a green thumb, there was no mud hole to big or small he wasn't willing to take a rip in. If you were trying to find Wayne, the easiest way to spot him was the bright orange stocking cap that was worn year-round including the hottest day in summer. He is survived by his fur baby Zoey; parents, Layton Corbett and Priscilla MacKenzie; sisters, Samantha (Dave) and Bonnie; as well as one niece, Samantha Nickerson (Gary); a great-niece, Sabina and great-nephew, Bryan. There will be no visitation or funeral at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday March 23rd from 2-5PM at the Pictou Legion. Donations in Wayne’s memory can be made to Cat Karma and Pictou SPCA.
