It is with heavy hearts we announce Wendy’s passing on November 20, 2023 at Melville Hospice, White Rock, BC. Wendy was born in South Porcupine, Ontario, to Bill and Jean Sharp. The family returned to Pictou in 1954, then to Lyons Brook where Wendy attended West Pictou High School. Over the years Wendy lived in Nova Scotia, Ontario, British Columbia, England and the United States and made many friends on her journey. She loved to entertain and was an accomplished hostess and friend to many. Wendy is survived by her beloved son, Michael Wm (Ana) and was Nana to her pride and joy her five year old grandson, Michael James ‘MJ’, and two year old granddaughter, Navy, all of White Rock, BC. She is also survived by sister, Barb MacDonald, Pictou, NS; nieces, Kim Jewell, Dutton, ON; and Sandy MacDonald, Dartmouth, NS. She was predeceased by parents, sister, Betty; nephews, Dana and Troy Winger and brother-in-law, Leo MacDonald. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Seaview Cemetery, Pictou at a later date. A memorial donation in Wendy’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
