Clara Florence (MacDonald) Langille

June 10, 1926 - October 28, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Langille at the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou.  Born June 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Minnie (Holmes) MacDonald of Waterside.  An avid gardener, she spent many hours of each day in her vegetable and flower garden.  She loved to cook for her family and friends, the aroma of home cooking would be in the air as you entered her house.  She spent her married life caring for her family.  She was an avid card player.  There was never a week go by that there would not be a game of 45s taking place at her home or a friend’s.  A lover of old tyme music and old time dances, on many occasions she could be found step dancing.  She particularly enjoyed hearing her granddaughter play a few tunes.  Clara was predeceased by her husband, Donald; and son-in- law, Richard.  She is survived by daughter, Diane Ross; granddaughter, Rebecca Ross; brother, Anderson MacDonald and many cousins and good friends.  Visitation will be held Thursday, November 1st from 7-9PM in the McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.  Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 2nd at 3PM in McLaren Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Shelly Chandler officiating.  Burial will be in Riverbank Cemetery, Toney Mills.  Reception to follow at the Caribou Fire Hall.  Donations may be made to a charity of choice. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
