Surrounded by the love and comfort of her family, Donna Grace Langille nee Stonehouse of Pictou, NS, age 82, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 in Palliative Care at the Aberdeen Hospital. Donna was the younger of two children born in Lochaber, Guyborough Co, NS to the late Bruce and Betty Stonehouse.  Donna is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert ‘Bob’ Langille and their children, Debbie (Pat Devlin), Lynn (Paul O’Hara), Roberta (Larry Smith), Brian (Lynne Fraser).  Grammie Donna will be fondly remembered and forever missed by her grandchildren, Trevor Stewart, Carla Chaisson, Adrienne Gagnon, Courtney, Kate and Joe Devlin, Andrew Murray, MacKenzie Smith, Josh, Sam and Simon Langille; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jack Stewart.  Donna was an athlete and graduate of Pictou Academy.  After taking her business course, she started her working career at Sutherland Memorial Hospital.  From there she worked at the Bank of Nova Scotia and eventually retired after working for many years at Ferguson Industries Limited.  Donna, Bob and family enjoyed over 45 happy years at their summer home in Flat River, PEI where Donna loved to garden, play with the grandchildren and pick blueberries. Donna spent years as a member of the executive of Pictou Minor Hockey as well being an active member of the United Church Women.  Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Ian and her in-laws, Murray and Mary Ann Langille.  Visitation will be 2-5 PM Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.  Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Monday from Pictou United Church, with Rev. Mary-Beth Moriarity officiating.  A reception will follow in the church hall.  Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery.  Donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or the Pictou United Church.  Family flowers only by request.
