So sorry for your loss, Leona and Ray, Louise and Greg, Lisa, Raymond and Dory as well as the rest of the family and friends of Ray.
Ray was always willing to help out in any way he could and especially with volunteer organizations. From what I remember of him and he also played a big part supporting the seeing eye dog organization based out of Oakville, Ontario.
When Ray laughed, it came from his soul. You could easily see that because his whole body would shake as he laughed.
A competitive man with a strong voice, I can remember him when I was a kid and he would be playing cards with my parents and their friends while camping in Acton where he would call out "EUCHRE" and I'm sure all the campers in the next park could hear him.
We all knew he could be a stubborn man but that worked in his favor a lot when it came to him being a strong union supporter when he worked at Goodyear Tire in Toronto as one story he tells taught me a lot about looking at all the angles when fighting for something he believed in for his membership.
Now he is at peace with his Daughter Shirley and his parents. Rest well Ray, your work here is done.
Mike & Jo-Ann LeGresley

I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. He was such a committed member of our community. I first met Ray when he rented me office space at the Lions Club in 2007, then quite soon after he invited me to go on the Board for the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital. After that we had much contact and many conversations about the River John community and the Hospital Foundation. He was a founding member of the Foundation and was very proud and very supportive of the work he did to bring awareness to the benefits of having the Hospital in our area. Ray was a mover and a shaker, always working on something that would help our community.
My sincere condolences to Ray's family, we will all miss him.

Wishing we could be near you to provide warm hugs of some comfort; but as long as you believe our spirits embrace you may you feel our love and support. The last verse from a "Hymn of Promise", In our end is our beginning, in our time, infinity, In our doubt, there is believing, in our life eternity. In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory, Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see... Remember to cherish and share those wonderful memories of your Dad. Love Dad & Mom D.

I remember uncle Ray as a man who was bigger than life. He had a happy ,make things happen way about him. He enjoyed teasing people , to get smiles from them. As I read in his obituary, he was very involved and will be dearly missed by his community. His family was important to him, his Love for them was very visible.
May he rest in peace xox
Love Léa and Norm

Although you are so greatly missed already Grampy, we will always cherish the time we had with you and carry it forever in our hearts.
The joy and love you brought into everyone's lives whose paths you crossed will never be forgotten and although Matthew and Sophia did not have the opportunity to be around you as much as we would have hoped, not a day will go by that we will ever let them forget what an amazing, beautiful, loving great-grandfather they have.
We love you Grampy
Love Matthew, Sophia, Andrea and Mike
