McGuire, Catherine Elizabeth - 44, Three Brooks, passed away Monday July 1, 2019, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.  Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Jim McGuire and D. June MacLean, Three Brooks.  She was a graduate of West Pictou District High School and Cape Breton University.  After fighting bravely for the past ten years with numerous health challenges, Catherine is finally at peace and has gone to join other family members.  Along with her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Cassidy Mason, at home; siblings, Julian (Judy) McGuire, England; Greg (Tui) McGuire and their daughter, Catherine Anna, Hong Kong; aunts, Catherine (David) Davis, Three Brooks; Denise, Molly and Francine, all of England; uncles, Arnold Younker, PEI; David, England; cousin, Sandi (David) Wallace and their sons, Ben and Mac, New Glasgow.  She was predeceased by her aunt, Mabel Younker; uncles, Charles MacLean, Mgr. Peter and Fred McGuire; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Margaret MacLean; paternal grandparents, Frank and Molly McGuire.  Cremation has taken place.  Private funeral service will be held in McLaren Funeral Home Chapel, Pictou.  Burial in Seaview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine’s memory may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.  www.mclarenfuneral.ca
