McCULLOCH, Helen Kathryn, age 89 of Scotsburn, Pictou County, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family August 23, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Millsville, she was a daughter of the late Fisher & Ellen (McCara) MacLennan. Kathryn was predeceased by her husband, Joe; sisters, Marjorie Jenkins, Mary Campbell; and brother, Lloyd MacLennan. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. In her early life, Kathryn was a foster mother with the then Children’s Aid Society. She was a very active member of her church community at Bethel Presbyterian in Scotsburn, and was a Life Member of the Margaret MacNaughton AMS. She also enjoyed her vegetable garden and shopping trips to town. Kathryn loved to take walks in Scotsburn to visit friends and family.  She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Priscella) and Lloyd, both of Scotsburn; her grandchildren, Megan, Amanda & Lucas; and also by sisters, Sue Miller, Halifax; Julia Hope, Ontario; and brothers, John (Ann), Scotsburn and Fisher (Lynn), Pictou. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday from Bethel Presbyterian Church, Scotsburn, with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church basement. Donations in her memory may be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church.  www.mclarenfuneral.ca
