MURPHY, Olna Mae (MacKenzie) - passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2019 at Parkstone Enhanced Care Facility in Halifax.  Born is Toney River, Pictou County, April 9th, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Euphemia (Johnson) MacKenzie.  A graduate of the Provincial Normal College, and long time member of Knox Church, she had lived in HRM since her graduation.  She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Jean (John) Baillie; grandchildren, Christine Elizabeth (Scott Munro), Catherine Jean (Matthew Rondeau), and John MacKenzie Baillie (Katherine Scallion); five great-grandchildren, Clark, Hugh, and Lydia Munro, and Ellie and Murphy Rondeau.  She was predeceased by her husband, John (Bud) Murphy; brother, Leonard MacKenzie; sisters, Minerva MacEachern, Lois MacKenzie, Julia McCraith, Jean MacKenzie; and nephews, Aubrey and Johnston MacEachern.  The family would like to thank the staff at The Madeline, and Flemming Way at Parkstone, other caregivers at her home, plus her neighbours over the years.  Visitation will be held 6-8PM Monday in St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Toney River, from where Funeral Service will be held at 2PM Tuesday with Jacquie Ross officiating.  Family flowers only please.  Donations in her memory may be made to The Mission to Seafarers, or St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Toney River. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
