Obituary of Eileen Florence Robinson

ROBINSON, Eileen Florence - Age 88, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow and formerly of Harmony Road, Truro and Pictou passed away Sept 14th 2019 in the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.  Born in Stellarton, September 11th 1931 she was a daughter of the late William Henry & Florence (MacKay) Weeks.  She was a former employee of Maritime Packers and the Shiretown Nursing Home.  Eileen was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch No.16 was an avid card player and enjoyed bowling and dancing.  Eileen is survived by her daughter, Margaret (Gerald) Stewart, New Glasgow; sons, Fred (Mary), Pictou; Joey (Louise), Airdrie, Alberta; Kevin, Truro; brother, Bill (Deanne), Thorburn; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, James “Jim”; special partner, Sylvester Moore; sister, Helen, brother-in-law, Robert Cummings; brother, Fred, Sister-in law, Joyce Weeks; sister-in-law, Edna Weeks.  Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.  Funeral will be held 11am Wednesday in McLaren Funeral Home Chapel, Pictou with Fr. Peter MacDonald officiating.  Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery, with reception to follow in the Stella Maris Church Hall.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the C.N.I.B., Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.  www.mclarenfuneral.ca
