Ian James Baillie - 75 of Pictou, passed away peacefully at Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou on November 19, 2019.  Ian was the son of James Hamilton and Winifred Baillie of Pictou.  He was born on March 31, 1944 in Pictou.  Ian was predeceased by older brother, Robert; sister, Karen.  He is survived by younger sister, Sheila (Nick) Scaravelli; and several nieces and nephews.  Ian lived his life in Pictou and spent his final years in the excellent care of the Maritime Oddfellows Home.  The family wishes to express their gratitude to Drs. Dan Reid, Shirley McCara, Randy Burrill and the Maritime Oddfellows staff for their sincere interest in Ian’s welfare and the thoroughness of their care.  Dr. Randy Burrill and the staff of the Oddfellows provided consistent and dedicated medical attention to Ian’s challenging health issues.  It is a comfort to Ian’s family that he resided at the Oddfellows at the most important time of his life.  There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.  A private family interment will occur at a later date.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.  Donations in Ian’s memory may be made to the Maritime Oddfellows Home.
