Obituary of Louise Marion Rogers

ROGERS, Louise M. Pictou ROGERS, Louise Marion, 68, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2020. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Oram) Melanson. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary with the Pictou Legion for many years and enjoyed helping them with Monday night bingo, and many other events in the past years. Louise loved playing bingo, watching hockey games, and going on Timmie’s runs with family and friends. Louise is survived by her daughter, Ann Rogers (Tyler Hughes); grandchildren, Miguel Rogers, Micheal Hughes, Patrick Hughes; sister, Elizabeth Fleming; brothers, Frankie Melanson, Raymond Melanson, Johnny Melanson, Charlie Melanson. Louise is also survived by several nieces and nephews, 4 step-children and several step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Rogers; Father, Henry Melanson, Mother, Margaret “Maggie” Melanson; and two step-children. Cremation has taken place and a gathering in her memory will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Diabetes Association.
