SNOW, Doreen Mae (Langille) Pictou Age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou. Doreen “Donnie” was a lifelong resident of Pictou. She was the daughter of the late Malcolm Gordon and Mary Agnes (McCreadie) Langille. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was an Assistant Probation Officer, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed working with youth and guiding them onto a better path in their life. Donnie always loved working outdoors from the days of helping her father to the many years together with Henry in their gardens on Alfred Street. She was an excellent homemaker and cook. Many family meals were enjoyed at her table. Donnie was very close with her sister Elaine and she was deeply grieved when she died in 2017. Her children and grandchildren were a source of pride for her and she cherished family time together, especially at Toney River beach. She loved the many pets in the family including horses, cats, dogs and she will be greatly missed by her dog, Molly. Surviving are her loving husband of 66 years, Henry (she was thankful for him in her life and wrote that ‘he made my heart sing’); her son, Robbie (Diane); and daughter, Mary Anne Earle (Michael); grandchildren, Heidi Snow, Colleen and Martin Earle; great granddaughter, Adalynn; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Alfred and Robert; and beloved sister, Elaine. She was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church, Pictou.
