My Dearest Condolences Carmen & Brenton,
I have such fond memories of summers at my Great Auntie Marian and Uncle David’s cottage! The smell, the sounds and their love I will cherish forever! I will share the stories with my son, and cannot wait until I bring him to see the Brule shore of Nova Scotia!

I was sad to hear about your mum. It’s always sad to hear of the loss of one of our neighborhood parents, but, of course, I knew her better. Your house always felt comfortable because both of your parents - the cottage too. Carmen,
I'm sorry to read about your mom's passing in the paper today. It has been over thirty years since you and I were friends in high school and though my memory isn't great, to this day I have often thought of you and your mother as I remember being over at your house and your mom would invite me to stay for supper. She would say it's just leftovers and nothing fancy but it was always delicious. In later years I would remember what she said and think about how she didn't waste any food and I admired that. It seems like a small thing but people can make a huge impact on a person and maybe not even know it. Always wishing you the best Carmen.
