I was sad to see Edith's obituary in today's Halifax Herald - a very long life, well-lived. I have kept in touch with her every Christmas for many years, picking up the friendship she had maintained with my late parents in Digby, NS for many, many years. I believe that she and my mother began work at the Digby General Hospital at the same time in the summer of 1945. Sadly, I think Edith was the last of my parents' generation among my contacts.
Please accept my sincere condolences on Edith's passing. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing to all of those left behind. You are in my prayers.
