STEELE, Leisa Michelle -55 of Pictou, passed away at home surrounded by her family. It is with great sadness that we send our daughter, sister and aunt to be with the Lord and her loving father. Leisa was always small but very mighty in all things she did in life. She lived all her years in the town of Pictou and enjoyed making memories at various community events with her friends and family. Leisa always had a lucky hand at cards and enjoyed a good game of bingo. She was predeceased by her doting father, Percy Steele; and is survived by her loving mother, Theresa Steele; her three sisters, Belinda (Lester) Steele, Terri-Lee (Randy) MacLellan and her youngest sister, Trina (Ross) Steele who devoted herself to Leisa’s care over the past years. Her true joy in life was being the best “Auntie Leisa” to her many nieces, nephews as well as her great-nieces and nephews who all will keep fond memories and miss her dearly. Special thank you to Leisa’s hospital based care teams at the Aberdeen and Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital as well as McLaren Funeral Home for their compassion during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Summer Street Industries, the IWK, or a charity of your choice.
