LIVINGSTON, Calder Greenwood Road LIVINGSTON, John Calder , -82 of Greenwood Road, Pictou County, passed away December 18th, 2020 at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late John William and Sarah Marion (Henderson) Livingston. A resident of Greenwood Road all his life, he worked as a mechanic, well driller, and signal maintainer with the C.N.R., before 31 years service with Maritime Tel & Tel. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, a long time elder of Union Presbyterian Church, and a 60 year member of Hudson Masonic Lodge, No. 77, Thorburn. Calder enjoyed many road trips traveling across North America with his wife and sons, attending many auto racing events and antique car shows. He enjoyed summers spent at the cottage at Eden Lake with his family and ATV and snowmobile trips in the fall and winter. He is survived by his sons, Jason (Shari) of Blue Mountain, and Glenn (Michelle) of Blue Mountain; grandchildren, Meghann, Matthew (Samantha), Sarah, Emily, and Ashley, great-grandsons, Jack and Scott; sister, Helen (Bill) Fox, Belleville, Ontario; nephew, Bill (Lee) Fox, also of Belleville; cousin, Tena (Paul) MacLellan, Thorburn; and companion, Gail Jordan, New Glasgow. He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Edith Jane (MacCulloch). Sincere thanks to caregivers, Hilda, Noreen, Pat and Marree. A private family service will be held followed by a public graveside service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 23rd in the Thorburn Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
