Garth Beer-Eligh, Pictou, died peacefully on July 4, 2021, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow from complications of cancer. He was born in Poole, Dorset, England in l944 to Gerald Eligh, Brockville and Joyce Eligh, Poole, Dorset, coming to Canada with his war bride mother in 1946. He is survived by wife, Paula; daughter, Sandra Eligh (Bob Noble) Rusagoni; son, Frank Eligh (Lian) Calgary; grandchildren, Stephen, Zachary, Andre and Alexis; and brother, Ed (Linda) Strathclair, Manitoba. He was predeceased by sister, Robin Littlejohn, Prescott, Ontario. After serving in the Canadian Military for 14 years, Garth worked for the Federal Government at CFB Gagetown for 26 years, before retiring to Pictou in 2003. A celebration of life will be held at the New Horizons Club, Pictou Sunday, August 15, 2021 1:30 – 3:00 PM. All who knew Garth or his family are welcome to attend. All COVID-19 restrictions in effect.
