Obituary of William Matthew Naugler

Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

William Matthew Naugler passed away at home on March 2, 2018. Born in New Glasgow, NS on May 20, 2002, he was the son of Robert Lewis and Gillian (Roberts) Naugler. William was an exceptional young man, bright, funny, full of energy and the joy of life. He loved to make people laugh with his playful voice imitations, silly faces and imaginative jokes. He was very fond of and good at video games. Building with LEGO was a special pleasure when he was younger. Family time in the great outdoors camping, fishing and just hanging out were favorite activities. He had a deep love of nature and animals, especially family pets. William’s intellectual curiosity lead him to be fascinated with ancient history and he was very knowledgeable on that topic. Besides his parents, William is survived by his half brothers, Tristan Roberts, Dylan Naugler and Jordan Naugler; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Naugler and his great grandfather Elmer Naugler, all of Sheet Harbour; his great grandmother, Theresa Cormier of Port Hawkesbury; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Patricia and Leo Roberts. Those who wish to honor William’s memory are asked to be sensitive in their interactions with others and to remember that words and actions can have a great impact, either good or bad, on other people. Some forms of teasing, ignoring, talking about others behind their backs, and other actions can be devastating to the person who is the recipient of these behaviors. In William’s memory, please make a habit of performing random acts of kindness. “When words are both true and kind, they can change the world.” ~ Buddha. “No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.” ~ Aesop
