JOHNSTON, Deborah A. Pictou It is with broken hearts that the family announce the sudden passing of Deborah Ann "Debbie" Johnston of Pictou on September 27, 2022. She was born November 20, 1951 to the late Robert and Edna (McFarlane) Johnston. Debbie is survived by her long time partner, Bernard Chisholm; her sisters, Dorothy and Dawn; her brothers, Kyle (Tina), Kelly (Darlene), Wayne (MaryAnne), Dana (Cheryl); her uncle, Dick and sister-in-law, Sharleen, all of Pictou. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Tracy and Tim who met her with open arms. Debbie will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved as if they were her own, TJ, Angela, Crystal, Robyn, Kyla, Jill, Bonnie, Marli, Coady, Kristina, Ricky, Brian, Mikey, Hughie, Dillan, Kelsy, Shannon, Jody, Colby and Lacey. She will also be greatly missed by her great-nieces and nephews whom she adored and spoiled with all the love she had. Great memories will be left behind for her cousins that shared so many pivotal moments with her during her life. Turbo her cat was her pride and joy and we know he will miss her so much. Debbie touched the lives of so many, she was the most beautiful, loving and caring person you would ever meet. She was the light of our family and friends and gatherings will never be the same. She lived life to the fullest, making everyday count with her big smile and never ending story telling. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Wednesday, October 5th in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. A family service will be held, and Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pictou County SPCA.
