Obituary of Phyllis Mabel MacCallum

MacCALLUM, Phyllis M. (Pearce) Lyons Brook MacCALLUM, Phyllis Mabel passed away peacefully on November 21, 2022 at the Northumberland Veteran’s Unit, Pictou. Phyllis was born in Triverton, England on July 29, 1925 to the late Robert and Queenie Pearce. She came to Canada at a young age and grew up in Sylvester and Loch Broom and spent her married life in Lyons Brook. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Bob MacCallum and all her brothers and sisters. She was a wonderful mom to, Laurie (David) Sutherland, Rob and Gary (Sandra); grandmother to, Crystal and Chelsea, Alicia and Katie, Nicholas, Matthew and Zachary and great-grandmother to, Jack and Sadie. Phyllis loved to dance with Bob, bowl with Elsie and play cards. She loved her community and her church, being actively involved in both. There will be no visitation by request. A private family service will be held. A special thank you to the care givers at the Northumberland Veteran’s Wing, Pictou for being so kind to mom. Donations in Phyllis’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
