SELLERS, Stella ‘Marie’ River John 1929 - 2022 It is with deep sadness that the Family of Marie Sellers announces her peaceful passing on December 9th, 2022 at the Lillian Fraser Hospital with her family by her side. Mom was born February 5th, 1929 to parents James Isaac and Lyde Langille of Marshville and was the last surviving member of her family. Mom was a life time member of Salem United Church, River John. She was also a member of Frazee Rebekah Lodge #33 for over 43 years. In her earlier years she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 108. Mom embodied characteristics of her generation to her children, level-headed, practical and hard working which she instilled in her children. Her Strength of character was proven through her bravery during her brief but courageous battle with cancer. She will be remembered for her kindness and what can only be described as a maternal warmth. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a true friend to many. She was known for her hugs and greeted all who visited with one, and of course a cup of tea. She loved to play cards and there were many laughs around the table when she won. Mom leaves behind her sons, John, Robert (Jo-ann), David (Mary-Ellen); daughters, Lynn (Robert), Brenda (Rudi) and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Scott; son, Gary and daughter-in-law, Shelia. We would like to sincerely thank Dr. Robert Bush for his professionalism and compassion which brought great comfort to mom and her family. Also a special thank you to the staff at Lillian Fraser for the loving care you provided to our mother. Mom was the glue that held us together and she will be so missed. Thank you for being the best mother ever and we will miss you. Love you mom. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday at Salem United Church, River John. Funeral will take place in the church 2 PM Wednesday with Rev. Connie McNamara officiating. Committal will be in the spring. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory can be made to Salem United Church or a charity of your choice.
