It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ina Catherine MacKenzie on December 8, 2022 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She was predeceased by parents, George and Ella; siblings, Alyce (John) and Norma (Kenzie). Ina was the cherished sister of, Shirley; loving aunt of, Melodie, Jean, Bradley, Alan, Daphne and Diane. She will be fondly remembered by numerous friends and extended family members. Ina was born and attended grade and high school in Pictou. Following post secondary training in Pharmacy, Ina worked for many years as a registered nurse, spending many years in Sussex, New Brunswick before returning home to Pictou. Along the way, Ina travelled the world with her sister Shirley and gained a lifetime of memories to bring back to Pictou. In respect for her wishes, there will not be a pubic visitation. A private family service has been held. Should you wish to make a donation in Ina’s memory, donations to VON Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated. The family wish to acknowledge and thank the Newfoundland ladies and local caregivers for their care and devotion to Ina over the past several years.
