Obituary of Elizabeth Margaret MacCormack

MacCORMACK, Elizabeth M. Pictou Elizabeth ‘Beth’ Margaret MacCormack, 92 of Pictou, passed away on February 17, 2023 at the Shiretown Nursing Home, Pictou. Born in Digby, NS on March 12, 1930, Beth was a daughter of the late Evan and Margaret (Campbell) Dunn. Beth married Walter in 1949 and they settled in his home town of Pictou. She was devoted, supportive and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had limitless love and acceptance for all. No matter what the circumstance her awesome hugs and kind words would always warm your heart. She was a remarkable cook and seamstress but her passions were music and gardening. She and Walter also loved taking trips to Florida and Europe. Beth was a member of the Pictou United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 16. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; her only sibling, Carol O’Sullivan; son-in-law, Clem Brussard and her great-grandson, Nick Falconer. Beth is survived by her three children, Pat (Marilyn), Robert (Joanne), Deborah Cruise; five grandchildren, Catherine (Dwayne) Falconer, Tom (Rene) MacCormack, Dylan MacCormack (Karleigh), Kylie MacCormack, Jo-ann Kedy; four great-grandchildren, Matt Falconer, Ian and Stephen MacCormack and Jenna Kedy. There will be no visitation or funeral. A family graveside committal will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. The family are most grateful to the staff of the Shiretown Nursing Home for all their excellent care and TLC since 2011.
