Obituary of Benjamin Scanlan

SCANLAN, Benjamin Joseph Pictou SCANLAN, Benjamin Joseph - 35, of Pictou, passed away peacefully at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow on March 31, 2023. Ben was born on February 7, 1988 at St. Martha's Hospital in Antigonish to the late Bruce Scanlan and surviving parent Peggy Jackson (Rudolph). He will be fondly remembered by his partner, Ashleigh MacKenzie; daughter, Abigail; sister, Melissa; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Ben grew up in Central Caribou before settling in Pictou with his partner and best friend, Ashleigh. Ben was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his daughter, Abby. He also enjoyed gaming, fishing, and spending time outside. Ben was known for his easy-going nature, big heart, contagious laugh, and wry sense of humour. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by request. Donations may be made in his name to The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
