How we will all miss Don’s warm hello and hugs when we come to visit ! He always made us and my kids feel so welcome and so glad we had come home for a summer visit . If it was lobster season , he was ready to heat up his propane pot and cook up a feed of lobster that was done to perfection! We will miss him but will cherish our warm memories of Uncle Don ! My sincere condolences to Joan and their sons, grandchildren and all other family members.
Treasure you memories. He is never further than your heart.
.My earliest memories of Donnie was when we moved to George St in 51 when I was 5 and that Halloween Donnie and the Heighton brothers came treat or treating. I was quiet frightened by these big boys in costumes.I always remembered them.
Second I moved home in 74 to Black St and Donnie and Jim both worked in. NewGlasgow in 75. One day I drove Jim to work as I had a doctors appointment in Tatamagouche later in the day. I started labour and didn’t want to risk driving in the opposite directs of my doctor and hospital. We were able to contact Donnie at work ( probably with the help of Joan) and he brought Jim home in plenty of time.
