It is so sad to learn of Elwood's passing. He was such a warm-hearted gentleman. He was a very generous host and was very welcoming when I visited him and Joan on the Island and in Meadowville. When I was young my family returned to my mother's island home every summer. Ernie and Janet lived next to my grandparents. At four years old, meeting a teenager like Elwood with his black pompadour, white tee-shirt and rolled up blue jeans left an impression. In fact, I went back home and told my best friend that I had met Elvis that summer - and even she knew how neat that was! As I got older, I figured out that Elwood wasn't Elvis - but to me he was always just as cool! I'll miss him a lot.
