I was a student at Westville High School where he taught math. I was good at math & I enjoyed his class. He was patient with the students who struggled with math & I appreciated & respected that. He was a nice man & I will always remember him with his "Batmobile". Rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Mr. Morse's passing. Had him for Senior Biology at Westville High and he taught me to drive. A friendly man with many diverse interests he would sometimes involve us in. A special teacher.

Bob (Mr. Morse) taught me Geology at Cobequid Educational Centre (CEC) circa 1972 and his phenomenal instruction was perhaps the key to me becoming a "geologist". His teaching and enthusiasm were inspiring, his classes fun and entertaining, and the high-level of instruction and his high expectations provided exceptional preparation for doing geology at Acadia.
Bob was not just a superb teacher, he was an educational leader. He was one of the first, if not the first person to deliver a high school geology course in Atlantic Canada. Bob was decades ahead of his time and I can only imagine the personal, intellectual, social, administrative and political skills it took to build a dedicated geology lab at CEC and then launch a stellar geology course with no precedents to guide curriculum development. In summary, Bob made immense, unsung contributions to geoscience education, and his admiring intellectual “children” (students) multiplied his contributions.
I extend my sympathies to the family and close friends on their loss.

We have fond memories of Bob, and will always remember his big smile and hearty laughter. My greatest memories of my cousin Robert or Bob as we called him was our summer holidays spent at his home in Millville NS where we spent hours out in the barn burrowing tunnels through the hay. We would have 4 or 5 kids following each other through these tunnels coming out gasping for breath and. Wonder an accident did not happen. But oh we had fun. My sister Marlene and I loved going there .Grandma Ruth and Aunt Edna said we were pretty dirty kids by bed time so cleanup time at the kitchen sink was done before heading to bed. I also remember stooking the wheat/oat sheafs to dry.with Uncle Lewis showing us patiently how to do it.
My sincere Condolences to Ruth, Carla, Janet,James and Families Bob is at rest now pain free and will be singing like a Lark in heaven. RIP dear Cousin. Love to all and God Bless you and be with you as you lay Bob to rest
Love Sandra(Morse)Mason

Thank you to all who shared a memory of Dad / Mr. Morse or who sent their love and support. We have been enjoying them all and appreciate it so much as a family to be able to learn new things about someone we've lived with for so long. Our only regret is that he is not able to see them as well.
Sincerely,

He was my biology teacher and one of my favorite teachers at WHS. I remember many lessons from him and I remember how happy he was when I brought in an intact mouse skeleton to add to his collection. He was kind and I learned a lot from him. My condolences to his family I'm sure he will be deeply missed

Mr. Morse was a wonderful teacher who knew when to send us off outside on scavenger hunts for Biology class and when to rein us in :) He allowed a classmate to bring duck eggs in to be incubated in his classroom and made us learn the latin words for all the taxonomy classes. He liked a report to have a title page with a nice illustration and a blank page afterwards. I remember this all so clearly because I have used, and continue to use so much of what he taught in my career as a veterinarian every day. I would think of him everytime I had to use the word brachycephalic in a medical record! One of those latin terms. I hope happy memories will help you through the sad days.

I was a student of Mr Morse at CEC. He was my Geology teacher and one of the reasons I left SCHS in Brookfield to attend CEC. His class was the highlight of my day, and his field trips were more than memorable. He was a great guy and a fabulous entertainer which made class so enjoyable. When I moved to the Annapolis Valley to teach, the Morse name was front and centre. I did not make the connection but I see he was indeed a Valley boy. You will miss him, but I know there are great memories there. Hold onto them. Sincerely, Connie Monk

I remember when Bob moved to Brookfield before he was married and he stayed in a travel trailer in back of Brookfield high school. I liked Bob as a teacher who taught me grade 11 general biology in 1969 and grade 12 general math in 1970. I last saw Bob around 1985 when he was visiting my next door neighbor in Upper Brookfield. RIP Bob.

Condolences to Mr.Morse’s family and friends during this difficult time. He was one of my favourite teacher’s at WHS and my years there wouldn’t have been the same without him. From biology class, drivers training and just being there for a chat, I have so many great memories. I don’t remember him ever raising his voice, even during tricky situations. He was such a kind and caring man.
