Shaun Langille

Obituary of Shaun William Langille

Please share a memory of Shaun to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Shaun William Langille, age 49, of Scotsburn, passed away on May 6th at his home.  He was the son of Bill and Laberta Langille.  Shaun went to West Pictou School and worked for a number of years at Gammon Lumber, until he was unable to work because of his illness.  Shaun was a self taught photographer who excelled in still life but also enjoyed setting the timer and taking many poses of himself as well as his friends and family.  In his early years Shaun had a small but dedicated circle of friends that gathered often and made many memories.  He was a true Star Trek fan as everyone who walked in his home could tell by the figures he had collected and cherished over his years.  He had every episode memorized.  Shaun was predeceased by his mom, Laberta Langille.  He is survived by his parents, Bill and Betty Langille, Scotsburn; step-sister, Terra Hughes; and step-brother, Tyler (Ann) Hughes; as well as his VON family that took such special care of him over the past twelve years.  They shared many laughs and stories, and enjoyed his dry wit and humor.  Shaun's visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Thursday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, with the service being held at 2:00 PM Friday from the McLaren Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Charles McPherson will officiate.  Family flowers only please.  Donations in his memory may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society.  www.mclarenfuneral.ca
