I have the distinct privilege of getting to know Tom when I was the principal in South Indian Lake and he was my colleague as principal in Lynn Lake Manitoba. His energy enthusiasm knowledge intelligence compassion and sense of humor was inspiring and demonstrated to me what an outstanding School principal looks like. I was proud to be the person who nominated and put together the package of information that we submitted to the most outstanding principal of Canada committee. In no surprise to me, Tom won that award. It was privileged to be able to travel to Toronto and see him receive this much deserved award. My life was enriched as an educator and as a person by my contact and friendship with Tom. I will miss him.

Tom was a wonderful friend and colleague. I worked with him for many years in northern Manitoba when he was principal at West Lynn Heights in Lynn Lake, MB. He was a very knowledgeable man who had the utmost respect for those who put their heart and soul into helping students. We had a lot of respect for each other and he was always happy to see me walk in his school, or he would walk in my office with a big smile on his face. I will miss Tom but I am so glad that he is no longer suffering. RIP Tom, and know that I will never forget you. Wayne and I have such wonderful memories to cherish.
