POOLE, James K. ‘Jim’
It is with heavy hearts that the family of James Kenneth Poole announce his passing on December 26, 2023 at the age of 92. He was born in Kemptown, Nova Scotia on November 4, 1931 to Kenny and Alice (Irving) Poole. He worked and raised his family in Calgary Alberta over 40 years. Jim is survived by his wife of 67 years (to the day), Irene (LeBlanc). He will be greatly missed by daughter, Janice (Doug); son, Chris (Susan); sister, Anna (Allan); brother, Bud (Ida); grandson, Joshua and several nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenny and Alice; brother, Irving (Sophie); sisters, Joyce (Donnie), Betty (David), Margaret ‘Nogg’ (Harmon), and Kenda (Ian). Jim loved his family and friends, his pets, gardening, and sweets. He was a gentle man but was very dry humour. Always quick with his 'Dad-isms' like "you got a hand like a foot!" Cremation has taken place and a graveside celebration will be announced in the spring of 2024 (his favorite time of year). Details to follow.
