Dear Mary Anne and Robbie,
So very sorry to hear of Henry’s passing. He was such a lovely man. I so appreciated the toast to the bride he did at our wedding. And then was kind enough to have it printed out and framed. It’s still cherished to this day. He will be missed by so many.

Thank you Joann and Mark, our father was very honored to have that asked of him. He thought you were a wonderful person and was very happy that my sister had you as such a special friend. To know he kept a copy of his own as we were going through his photos and little things he kept for the slideshow for the Celebration of Life, and the speech was there too.

Robbie/Dianne, Mary Anne/Michael, and families:
I was deeply saddened to hear of Henry's passing. Henry was a kind, caring man who always put family, friends, and his community ahead of everything else. I know he will be greatly missed by all. I have so many great memories of times we spent together. Memories that I will always cherish. Our many parties at his camp in Millsville, weekend fishing trips, attending various dances, and just hanging out with family and friends. Over the years Henry was my teammate, my boss, my mentor and, most of all, my very close friend. One who was always there to laugh through the good times and support me through the tough ones. I will miss our chance meetings where laughter and stories of old events that we shared always took over the conversations. Janet and I offer our deepest condolences to all of Henry's family and friends at this, their time, of sorrow.
Rest in peace, old trooper, knowing that your legacy of kindness, sharing, and strong family ties will always be carried forth by Robbie, Mary Anne and families.

Thank you Bob and Pat, appreciate your thoughts and to know my dad was always fond of you both only from perhaps a couple of meetings. I believe once it was for getting some Hemlock Boards from a sawmill just down the road from you and the other was when you so kindly gifted me the wagon. To the Snow Family,
So very sad to hear Henry passed on. Am sure I am not the first to say he was my first hockey coach with the Hamilton's Paperweight team ( 1969). The best was the trip to the Hamilton's factory after the game where we ripped into the cookies before heading for home. Very fair, positive, and fun personality to be associated with as a youth....a man you'd never forget.

Dear Robbie, Mary Anne and families,
Words can’t even begin to express the sadness I felt upon hearing of Henry’s passing. He was simply one of the kindest, friendliest and most generous individuals I have ever known. I remember Dad telling us stories of Henry’s willingness to “lend a few bucks” to anyone who was in need…always doing so without hesitation, without judgement and with optimism that the other person would do the same if the shoe was on the other foot. His humanity was indeed one of his greatest virtues (among all the others you beautifully captured in his obituary). He was an amazing man who will be missed by many and not soon forgotten. Please know you are all in my thoughts during this difficult time of loss.
Sincerely,
Lynn Haley

Robbie, Mary Anne and families,
My condolences to each of you on Henry’s passing. It’s such a sad time, but also a time to reflect on a life well lived. The obituary you wrote reminds all of us who benefited from Henry’s kindness and the generous time he gave back to his community, friends and neighbors. He was quite the guy and a role model for all. As a funny memory, I am reminded of the time that he and my Dad decided to attend the veterans club several months or years after it had been founded. There was a lobster draw that night and my dad held the winning number. Dad didn’t want to go up, but Henry took the number and got the lobsters which they later shared. They both liked the irony of the situation and had a great laugh. Also I have some other nice memories of our families going to the beach in Tony River.

Thank you Ron for sharing nice memories. Yes our Families have been such close friends and I thank you for your very kind words of our Dad. I did not know the lobster story, but I certainly remember all the fun times at Tony River Beach. My Dad thought very highly of your Dad and was very sad when he lost your father when he was such a special friend, much too early. I am glad our families still remain so very close and I think it will always be that way.
