Obituary of Marjorie Mildred Robertson

ROBERTSON, Marjorie M. Lyons Brook ROBERTSON, Marjorie Mildred -92, of Lyons Brook, Pictou County, passed away at her home, January 23, 2024. Marjorie was a teacher for many years and Principal of Dawson School, Pictou. She was a lady of great faith. She had a wonderful life with ther husband, enjoying their winter trips to Florida for 15 years. Besides her parents, Murray and Mildred MacKenzie, she was predeceased by her son, Dean; brother, Gordon; and many brother and sisters-in-law. Surviving are her loving husband of 71 years, Douglas; and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes there will be no funeral service. Donations in Marjorie’s memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA. When I come to the end of the road, And the sun has set for me. I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long, And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me, but let me go. For this is a journey that we all must take, And each must go alone. It’s all a part of the Master’s plan, A step down the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me, but let me go. -Anon.
