Dear Ruby, Shaun and Emily and all the people touched by David's life, I am so saddened to hear of his death.
David was a constant in my life, one of my earliest Pictou friends, and a valued source of inspiration whenever I stopped by the house on my increasingly infrequent visits to Pictou. I think of him and Ruby often.
Condolences to all the family from Marielos and me. Much love, and I will expect that cup of tea on my next visit. Abrazos.

Dear Ruby,
I was saddened to hear of David's passing. As a child growing up in Pictou, I regularly encountered David on his daily walks as I was going back and forth to school. He always greeted me with a big smile and we enjoyed many friendly chats. Please accept my sincerest condolences on your loss and know that you are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

I always appreciated my conversations with David. One never knew where the journey would takes us. He was a person of deep wisdom and spirit. Dear Ruby and family
I was so saddened to learn of Dave's passing. Since our high-school days Dave has been my friend and I share in your loss during this difficult time.
Dave had the soul of a poet and expressed his love of nature through his writing that will be a beautiful legacy to all who loved him.

David Young was such an inspiring man. I lived across the road from David and Ruby in Pictou. Both of them were so very kind to me and even gave me an antique piece of furniture which I stripped and refinished. Today I use that piece daily and think of them with gratitude and love. I am so sorry for the loss and Ruby who was loving and patient with David through all his challenges in the past number of years. Every time I come to Pictou I make their home a priority to visit and catch up, and also have some great laughs. My heart is with your family and I will pray for all of you to be together in this great loss. Be well and I send many blessings.

My deepest condolences to my youngest sister Ruby, her son Shawn, his wife Karen, and granddaughter Emily. Although I have lived in Ontario for 61 years and never really got to hang out with David. I didn't get to know him very well. I do know that he treated Ruby like a Queen and was always very kind to me when my wife and I went to visit them .
