Obituary of Shawn Patrick Moore

MOORE, Shawn P. New Glasgow Shawn Patrick Moore, age 65, of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, passed away on July 30, 2024, in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. A Celebration of Life will be held at Maranatha Bible Church in New Glasgow on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 2:30PM. Shawn was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to James and June (Walsh) Moore on July 13, 1959. Shawn was a self-taught stone carver from his youth and gave most of his art away. He worked for Canada Post for 20 years before attending Algonquin College and studied Culinary Skills which sent him on an extensive path of cooking in some of Canada’s well-known resorts as well as popular restaurants. In the last 10 years, Shawn had transitioned to Facilities Management both in the US and Canada. Shawn is survived by his wife, Suzanne Moore of New Glasgow; his children, Joshua Aaron Moore, Caleb (Celeste) Moore and Melody Moore; his grandchildren, Crystal Webber-Moore, Jacob Webber, and Harmony Gaudet; his brothers, Wayne Moore and Glen (Ann) Moore. He was predeceased by his parents, James and June (Walsh) Moore. Memorial donations may be made to Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada #4 17918 55th Ave., Surrey, BC, V3S 6C8.
