MARSHALL, Frances Pictou It’s with shattered hearts we share that our beloved wife and mother has passed away suddenly on August 21, 2024. Frances was the cherished daughter of the late James and Shannon Fraser and the adored daughter-in-law of Fay Marshall and the late Robert L. Marshall. Mom’s eyes and smile would light up to everyone she encountered. She genuinely took interest in how you were doing when talking with you or deeply cared about any troubles you were carrying. She was someone you could always confide in and count on. Mom enjoyed the simple things in life, like watching hummingbirds come to her feeders and watching for the cardinals and owl that would fly in for a special visit. She enjoyed her walks in the woods during all seasons. Mom was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and enjoyed watching her shows like Coronation Street. She was a dedicated and beyond loyal Sobeys employee for 20+ years and cared about her community greatly. Mom loved her family beyond measure, left to mourn is her husband, Robert of 37 years; her daughter and best friend, Jocelyn (Brandon) and her son and light of her life, Matthew (Harmony); her 3 girls (her dogs) and grand-dogs; sister, Peggy; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Judy) and John (Sherry). Along with many nieces and nephews that she adored. Arrangements have been made through the McLaren Funeral Service. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life with be held 11 AM Thursday August 29th at the Pictou United Church with Rev. Mary-Beth Moriarity officiating. Reception to follow. Donations in her memory can be made to the Pictou SPCA, Pictou Food Bank or Pictou United Church. “Your light will always shine on within us.”
