It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Stickney, 65, who left us peacefully on October 6, 2024. Linda was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished daughter and sister. Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Mark Gorin; her daughter, Jessica Stickney; her mother, Patricia Priest; her father, Alec Priest; her sister, Jane Philip; and her brother, Kevin Priest.
She was raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and spent most of her life there, embodying the vibrant and energetic spirit of her community. In her retirement, she and Mark bought the family farmhouse and found joy in the picturesque surroundings of Pictou while creating their dream home and property.
Linda was known for her unwavering strength and her selfless nature, always prioritising the needs of family and friends. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting legacy of love and compassion.
She will be deeply missed by all those that knew her, but forever remembered in our hearts.
