I always wondered how I would be with this news. I have so much peace because I know she is at peace and off to even more amazing things than she accomplished in this life. Jean was the mother I never had. She generously gave of herself to so many. Everywhere she went, she was greeted with such warmth, love and respect. She taught me more than I could ever write here. My heart is full of her love, compassion, kindness and wisdom. I have so much to be grateful for because of her. May you fly with the angels my dearest one. I know you are in the best hands. Dearest Jean
How can I thank you enough for all of the love, guidance and support over the years. I feel like I can still talk to you and that you are still here helping and guiding me. You are one of a kind, those who met you knew it and felt it in your presence. All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart thank you so very much and I love you.

Dear Ann and Bill and family,
Nancy and I only learned of Jean’s passing this past Saturday while we were with Jeff and Jenn. The news came as a shock to all of us who had been blessed to know her. Fortunately the shock was immediately displaced with the warmth of remembering our personal interactions with her and counting our blessings for having been able to know her through the years. May she rest in peace.

Dear Ann and Family,
While words can never truly capture the depth of your loss, please know that our hearts are with you during this incredibly difficult time. Our family has been blessed to know Jean for 38 wonderful years. She was an extraordinary woman—loving, kind, sincere, full of life, and always filled with humor. We loved her deeply, and her spirit will always remain in our hearts.

Our knowing Jean was short but lovely. Jean came into our province approximate 2+ years ago and Anne her daughter; gave us the opportunity of getting to know her through her trips to Dartmouth when Jean and Ann would pop in for lunch/BBQ or just a drop in. We found Jean a very soft spoken women with kind thoughts and tidbits of great information, My husband passed this summer and they were there to support me and my Son Darren in our loss. She will be missed by me even though our time was not long. Fran and Family

Q: How did you meet Jean?
A: I first met Jean in the early 90s when she and Richard lived in Hamilton, Ontario. We had many conversations over the years and we kept in touch no matter where we lived. I always felt that she was there for me and Michael just the way a supportive parent would have been. We love her so much and will treasure all that she has given us .

Like so many, I adopted Jean as a 'special Mum'. What a privilege it was to learn from her and feel her genuine love for life! I'm grateful to have shared many amazing experiences over our 31 years of times together. We laughed, shared many meals together and she helped me through some very difficult times. Jean, till we meet again. Love you lots!
