Obituary of June Sterns

STERNS, V. June Pictou STERNS, Vivian June - passed away in the Northumberland Veterans Wing, Pictou on December 4, 2024 at the age of 97. She was born in Loch Broom in 1927 and was the only child of Edna (MacCabe) and Brant MacPhail. Graduated from Stellarton High School in 1945 and from Acadia University in 1948. She worked at CBC Radio International Service, Halifax. June married Jim in 1951 and lived in Truro and Annapolis Royal from where they retired to Braeshore, Pictou County. Besides her parents June was predeceased by her husband, James. Survived by children, Jo Anne (Oliver) Baranowski, Squamish, BC and Douglas, at home. Funeral Service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Pictou United Church or a charity of your choice.
