Our sincere sympathy to Peter, Jeanette, Mike and Mel, and Burton on the passing of Elva. Our memories of Elva go back way over 50 years and include snowmobiling with her and Bob, gathering at their house after a night out for a lunch, visits to their house where there were always so many stories shared. Most times Elva couldn’t get a word in edgewise with Bob and Rae leading the talks but she was always right there in the conversation nodding and smiling and adding the odd word here and there. Bob and Elva were exceptional dancers and it was with pure joy we would marvel at their hot polka skills! They were so graceful and dancing was effortless for them. Elva was an exceptional Avon representative and always had time to visit when she came with her books and samples.
Never an exhibition was complete without a visit to the barns for a talk with Elva and her family. She lived for her horses and those exhibitions.
With the passing of both Elva and Bob another end of an era has happened in our community. We are so very sorry for your loss.
