Obituary of Kathy Shauna Robinson

ROBINSON, Kathy Shauna, It is with great sadness that the family of Shauna Robinson announce her death on July 23, 2018 in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.  She is survived by sisters, Cheryl (Colin) Dyack, Frances (Barry) Smith, Jean (Wayne) Snider; brother, John (Nanette) Shaw; seven nieces and nephews and their families.  She is also survived by stepchildren, Jennifer Robinson (Matt Crome) and their son, Jared, and Andrew (Alesee) Robinson.  Shauna was predeceased by her parents, David and Marion Shaw and her beloved children, Sean and Kate Gaddess.  Shauna’s greatest passion was music.  She loved playing the violin but the piano was her first love.  She was an organist and choir director of the Scotsburn / Lyons Brook United Churches for many years.  Woodworking was also a passion of Shauna’s.  She graduated from the Cabinetry course at NSCC Pictou, in June 2015.  We would like to thank all who supported Shauna through her illness, especially Rev. Jim Webber-Cook her minister and friend, Dr. Allister Webster who was so encouraging, Debbie Jordan, her friend of forty years, and wonderful friend, Marianne Fraser.  We would also like to thank Dr. Gerry Farrell, Dr. Anne Kwasnik, Dr. Aaron Smith, Dr. Mary Margaret Keating and the BG’s.  We wish to thank the very caring staff of the Oncology and Palliative Care Units at the Aberdeen Hospital.  Shauna also wished to thank all those caring people who regularly donate their blood.  I, Cheryl, would  especially like to thank my wonderful and caring siblings, Fran, John and Jean, who made many trips from BC, to support and care for Shauna during her illness.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 2pm in the Scotsburn United Church.  Following burial, a reception will be held in the Church Hall.  Family flowers only please.  Donations in Shauna’s memory may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the Oncology or Palliative Care Units at the Aberdeen Hospital or a charity of your choice. www.mclarenfuneral.ca
